‘A Bad Day’
The infamous ‘suicide’ photo. Where do I begin. Well, I believe this is the first time I’ve ever posted this photo on the web. All I remember was that I came home from school that day, and something must of happened, because I was majorly bumming. I had a friend’s pellet gun, and they were coming by later that day to pick it up. I just thought, before they get here why not use it to visualize how I’m feeling. So I came up with this idea of having a guy curled up, visualizing images of himself in various suicides. Now, for the record, I’m not suicidal, and do not condone it. That said, sometimes you just have to vent your frustrations through your art. I decided to keep it a little on the lighter side, by wearing the brightest shirt I had and not showing any blood. A couple of notes- I originally wanted the guy on the couch to OD on heroin, but I had nothing the remotely looked like a syringe; the black object in the upper left corner is supposed to be the boot of the guy that hung himself. Despite the subject matter, the oddness of it with the title, still makes me find it kind of funny.
